You are going to spend 5 days in the pearl of Africa Uganda as you visit different destinations like Queen Elizabeth National Park, a home for the rare tree climbing lions found in southern Ishasha sector. Take part in a game drive around the Kasenyi plains and a boat cruise along Kazinga channel.
Travel further southwards to Bwindi impenetrable national Park for trekking endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The safari starts and ends in Kampala / Entebbe where you’ll take a flight back to your country.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival in Kampala and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Meet and greet by our company driver / guide at the airport in Entebbe, who will take you through a short briefing about how you will spend 5 days in Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Parks.
This park is famously known for sheltering the rare tree climbing lions and it is one of the premier savanna parks in Uganda, with lots of attractions that appeal to over thousands of tourists every year. You will drive through equator for a few minutes of photography and proceed to check in at the lodge and be welcomed by lots of animals and unequalled savannah scenery.
Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise.
Wake up to a heavy breakfast and drive to the park offices where you will meet the ranger guide who will lead you through the trails during the game drive. While on this morning game drive through Kasenyi plains, be on a look out for animals like elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelope species that cannot be found anywhere in Uganda, and lots of bird species as well as taking photos viewing the park’s crater scenes.
After this game drive, move back to the lodge for lunch and thereafter, head out for a boat trip on Kazinga channel and you will have a look at water animals like hippos since this park is known for inhabiting the highest concentration of hippos in the world, crocodiles, water birds on the river banks and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. After this, return for dinner at the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national Park via Ishasha sector.
On this day, wake up early in the morning for breakfast then drive to Bwindi impenetrable national Park in the extreme southern part of Uganda. Bwindi impenetrable national Park is a home for the mountain gorillas which attracts huge number of visitors to Uganda.
Pass via Ishasha sector for a chance to spot the rare tree-climbing lions which can only be seen from Queen Elizabeth national Park of Uganda and lake Manyara national park in northern Tanzania. After lion tracking, continue on your journey to Kanungu or Kisoro District where Bwindi impenetrable national Park is situated in any sector of your choice.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking.
Wake up early in the morning to catch up with gorilla trekking adventure. Have breakfast and then move to the park headquarters with packed lunch and drinking water. You will meet the park ranger guides who will brief you about what you are supposed to do and not to do. And be led into the forest to look for one gorilla family that you will trek.
Only come into contact with these mountain gorillas for only one hour and spend this one hour watching over their behaviors and taking photos as well. Remember to book your gorilla permit in advance, like 3 or 4 months before the real trekking day through a recognized and licensed local tour company.
After gorilla trekking experience, you will move back to the lodge for relaxation, later dinner or visit the Batwa community depending on the time you return.
Day 5: Travel back to Kampala. Fly back.
On this last day of your 5 days of Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Park safari, wake up for delicious breakfast then check out from the lodge and head on your drive back to Kampala. Have a stop over at the equator in Kayabwe for photographic moments and enroute lunch. Continue to the airport and fly back to your home country.
