Murchison Falls National Park is undoubtedly the largest protected area in Uganda, taking the first position among all the 10 national parks in Uganda. The park is located in Masindi, Nwoya, Buliisa, and Kiryandongo Districts in Northwestern Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe by a professional safari guide who will brief you and immediately start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park will take about 4 to 6 hours, depending on your number of stopovers, interests, and what you come across during the drive.
Upon arrival in the park, enjoy a meal and opt for an evening game drive to spot wildlife active during this time. Relax and prepare for the activities of the following day.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest wildlife reserve and home to a diverse array of wildlife, birds, butterflies, and reptiles, most active in the morning. After an early breakfast, meet your safari guide and head to the park headquarters to pick up a ranger guide for your game drive.
Spot and photograph wild animals such as lions, elephants, spotted hyenas, hartebeests, bushbucks, hippos, buffaloes, and more.
After a delicious lunch at the hotel, embark on a boat cruise for another excellent experience. Enjoy sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and over 50 to 60 species of water birds.
Following the boat cruise, visit the top of Murchison Falls for stunning views and photography opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala
On the last day, wake up, pack your belongings, check out from the lodge, and head back to Kampala after breakfast. Enjoy a 6-hour drive with an enroute game drive for a final chance to spot wildlife.
