The park is known for open landscapes and wide views. Kidepo Valley is home to about 500 bird species, including birds found only in the Karamoja region. Visitors can enjoy game drives, bird watching, hiking, and cultural encounters with nearby communities.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is found in south western Uganda. It is famous for hosting almost half of the world’s remaining endangered mountain gorillas. There are more than 15 gorilla families open for trekking each day. Visitors who want extra time with gorillas can join gorilla habituation experiences, which allow longer visits under guide supervision.
Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is in north western Uganda. The park is known for Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge. It is also home to many animals and birds. Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat cruises on the Nile, and visits to the waterfall.
Kibale Forest National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Lake Mburo National Park

Rwenzori Mountains National Park
Rwenzori Mountains National Park is located along the western border of Uganda. The park has 217 bird species and 17 mammal species. The Rwenzori Mountains are also known as the Mountains of the Moon.
Mount Elgon National Park
Mount Elgon National Park is in eastern Uganda near Kenya. The park is home to 144 bird species, including the endangered lammergeyer. Mount Elgon has the largest caldera in the world and was once the highest mountain in Africa.
