Day 1: Set off to Lake Mburo National Park
Meet and greet your professional driver guide, and have a quick briefing about this special 3-day tour to see wildlife in Lake Mburo NP in Western Uganda. Begin your trip with a short city tour in Kampala; visit some historical & cultural or religious sites like National Museum, Baha’i temple, and Kasubi tombs then you will proceed to Lake Mburo NP for a wildlife excursion.
Drive time from Kampala to Mburo NP will be 4 hours and because of its strategic location, you will make a stopover at the Equator for photography. Accessing the park will be along the paved Kampala-Mbarara route. You will check in at the pre-booked lodge in or around the park for late lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: A full-day with Lake Mburo NP wildlife
After enjoying a cup of tea/coffee, meet your driver guide ready to explore Lake Mburo NP on your first game drive. The 2-3 hours game viewing tour will reward with exciting animal sightings on the Kazuma track. This game track is famous for its views not only wildlife but also spectacular rolling hills and the 5 Lakes. Animal spotting to enjoy range from impalas, elands, bushbucks, zebras, giraffes, klipspringers, buffaloes, birds, leopards on a lucky day and others.
Drive back at a slow pace to allow you see more animals and once you get to the lodge, have some time to relax and enjoy lunch. Day 3: Depart for Kampala/Entebbe city
Have a hefty breakfast and after, you have plenty of activities to choose from: guided nature walk, cycling, horseback riding, or quad biking. Taking a nature walk grants you a chance to explore the park on foot and you will be visiting the salt lick spot where a huge concentration of impalas, zebras plus other wildlife can be spotted licking salt. After, drive back to check out and return to Kampala or Entebbe and this marks the end of 3 days safari in Lake Mburo NP.
