4 Days Lowland Double Trekking offers a remarkable opportunity for you to get up close and personal with Eastern Lowland gorillas in the wild twice, translating to a maximum of 2 hours of magical encounters. Visiting lowland gorillas in the wild is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we have you covered with this expertly designed package. You will be visiting Kahuzi-Biega National Park in Eastern Congo, the only location where Eastern Lowland gorillas are trekked.
The presence of lowland gorillas in Kahuzi-Biega National Park, Maiko National Park, and other protected areas makes Congo safaris special. The Eastern lowland gorillas, also known as Grauer’s gorillas, are part of the Eastern gorilla species, which also includes mountain gorillas. In Kahuzi-Biega Park, a 6000 sq. km protected area, there are many groups, but only 5 have been set up for trekking, and you will visit two of them during your 4-day lowland double trekking tour.
